The old Tobacco Barn has been transformed. The ideal spot for a simple, country wedding. The inside has been decorated with old wash tub lights hanging from the beams and over 5000 string and icicile lights. At the back end of the barn sets an old wood burning stove. The floor is lined with straw and straw bales are placed all around. There are even several love seats made entirely out of straw bales and covered with a simple white sheet. We typically decorate the inside with flowers and arrangements typical of the season.
Rolling hills and still working farm land grace this beautiful venue. A creek just down the hill on the east side of the barn is lush in the spring. Just across the creek past a corn field is a tree line that is breathtaking in the fall. West of the Barn is a wooded area where Kristina’s father David Adams has built a large fire pit area down a short path. Behind the barn is another area with an additional fire pit as well as an area for a band or dj to set up to keep you entertained.
What we offer
Battle Creek is a gathering place for weddings, get togethers or whatever reason you have to get family and friends together. We’ve tried hard to keep the entire farm looking like what it is…an old farm, with barns, rolling fields, a small farm house and beautiful scenery. Pictures may be worth a thousand words, but being here and experiencing the beauty of the surroundings is all too different. As well as our wedding barn, there are spacious areas for large tents or even an area for an outdoor wedding. In the Spring of 2015, we anticipate our next project to begin. We have an old pole barn with over 2,500 square feet of space that we will be cleaning up and getting ready for future events.
