Battle Creek Farm was once the working Dairy Farm of Mr. Bill Adams, grandfather of owner Kristina Evans. Kristina ran and played amongst this 100 acre farm as a child. Later in life, she moved out to the old farm house. Every morning when she stepped out on her front porch, she saw that old tobacco barn and dreamt of one day turning it in to her home. Over the years she began to see the potential the barn had as a venue for gatherings.
In April of 2014, Kristina ran into an old classmate from 30 years before, Scott Evans. They began dating and she shared her visions with him. They soon decided to transform the barn into a wedding venue. They worked countless hours cleaning up, decorating and hanging over 5000 lights inside. While working on the barn, they fell in love and decided that they would christen it with their own wedding. They wanted it to be a surprise to all those they invited. But as everyone knows, a secret just can’t be kept. By the time October 11, 2014 rolled around, most family and close friends knew their secret, with a few exceptions. But nevertheless, it was a magical evening. Bringing together two old classmates and the families they still hold close.
